- NOW ACCEPTING ONLINE MARRIAGE APPLICATIONS
Apply online for your marriage license
Applying for a License
No appointment is necessary. It is best if both parties come in and apply. We will need photo id with a signature, such as a driver’s license, to process your application. If that is not possible you may request an application by emailing Jenn Rose, jennr@masoncountywa.gov or calling us at (360) 427-9670 Ext 467. Your signature on the completed application must be acknowledged by a notary public.
There are no blood tests, witnesses, birth, or divorce certificates required to apply for a marriage license. Divorced persons may apply for a marriage license as long as the final decree of divorce has been filed.
Age Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants 17 years of age must have their parent or legal guardian sign a release form.
- Applicants 16 years of age or younger must obtain a court order from Juvenile Court.
Waiting Period and Expiration
There is a three day waiting period that begins on the day your completed application has been signed, paid for and processed in our office and ending the third day following. The license is valid for 60 days from your application date and can be used anywhere in the State of Washington.
License Fee
There is a $72 fee for marriage licenses due at the time of application. Cash, checks, money orders and credit/debit cards are accepted at this time.
* A convenience fee will be added with a credit/debit card payment.
