Vision-Mission Statement

The Mason County Criminal Justice participants will be recognized as innovative, progressive, responsive, resourceful and effective in fulfilling their duties to the citizens of our community.

We have a vision for a diverse community that is crime free, where law abiding citizens can reside and enjoy Mason County.  We recognize that this ideal may not be possible, but we will always strive to allocate our resources wisely toward that vision.

Our mission is to achieve a county that is safe, and secure; protects constitutional rights and individual liberties; while embracing diversity to improve the quality of life for citizens of our community.

We will accomplish this mission to reduce crime and enhance safety through a coordinated, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach throughout the following criminal justice system programs:

  • Education and Prevention/Programs
  • Enforcement and Investigation
  • Care and Custody of Adults
  • Care and Habilitation of Juveniles
  • Prosecution/Defense
  • Treatment/Alternate Programs/Incarceration

We will work to achieve our vision, mission, and strategies with accountability to the citizens with professional, courteous, and compassionate service.
