Collective Impact
Collective impact is a structured approach to community problem-solving of complex social issues. Collective impact results when community stakeholders from different sectors commit to a common action plan in order to address these complex issues. This model requires that everyone work together in partnership and coordinate their efforts around clearly defined goals.

Although communities, including Mason County, have become experienced in collaboration and working together, collective impact initiatives are distinctly different. The difference is that collective impact includes all five elements listed above: A centralized infrastructure, a dedicated staff, and a structured process that leads to a common agenda, shared measurement, continuous communication, and mutually reinforcing activities among all participants. Moving Mason Forward is driven by the collective impact model and integrates all five of the core elements. By applying the principles of collective impact and working towards a shared vision of community improvement, Mason County will undoubtedly move the needle on population health and sustain lasting, positive change!
