Mason County Onsite Septic System (OSS) Installation Inspection Request

This is a request for final inspection of OSS component(s). The installation fee must be paid before installation.
Only Certified Installers may install OSS Components (unless written approval is obtained from Environmental Health).
The installation should be complete and ready to inspect on the 'Requested Date of Inspection' and remain uncovered for three business days to allow staff time to inspect. Poor weather conditions may be accommodated by contacting Environmental Health at 360-427-9670, extension 400. If the health department makes no contact within three business days of notice, the installer may cover with designer approval.
The installer is responsible for obtaining approval from the septic designer/engineer before backfilling system components.
Mason County Asbuilt Form, Record Drawing, and Installation fee must be submitted for final closure of the septic permit.
