Sheriff Ryan Spurling

The Office of Sheriff does not come with privilege nor authority but instead, responsibility. The Sheriff is responsible to every citizen of the county and is dedicated to strengthening community connections. Elected in 2022, Sheriff Spurling has over 35 years of Law Enforcement experience including 25 years with the Washington State Patrol and over 10 years with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. His military service includes the US Marine Corps and the US Army Reserves. Sheriff Spurling is a long-time Mason County resident and is involved with the community through volunteer work as a coach and instructor and through group and church services.
