Truancy
Youth who fail to attend school as required are referred to the Prosecutors Office for court intervention. If a youth is found to be truant, sanctions can be imposed for non-compliance with court orders. Detention or community service can be assigned. Cases are coordinated with the school districts. If you have questions regarding Truancy matters, you may contact the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney at (360) 427-9670 ext. 417. |
